Study on the Damage Characteristic of Ununiform Corroded SFRC by 3D Mesoscale Numerical Simulation

Abstract Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) will appear ununiform corrosion under chloride environment, resulting in corrosion-induced crack. However, the mechanism of crack corroded SFRC is not clear. In this paper, 3D mesoscale numerical model structure established, generation algorithm round straight steel provided, and are simulated by XFEM, at end damage characteristic studied. The result shows with increase rebar area, number cracks gradually. width each decreases linearly thickness protective layer, penetrate decrease to 0.08 mm~1.2 mm.
